Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

FloorPlan Creator is a browser-based floor plan design service available at floorplancreator.io. For privacy questions, contact floorplancreator.io@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account details — email address, name (if you provide it), and a hashed password if you sign up with email. If you use Google sign-in, we receive your Google profile info (name, email, avatar) as allowed by Google.
• Your projects — floor plan data you save in the editor, project names, thumbnails, and timestamps.
• Subscription status — your current plan, billing cycle, and Paddle subscription identifiers. We do not store your full payment card number.
• Usage events — basic actions such as sign-ups, project creation, and exports. This helps us understand how the product is used and apply plan limits.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• Save, sync, and display your floor plan projects.
• Apply the correct plan limits and export permissions.
• Process subscriptions through our payment partner, Paddle.
• Respond to your questions and fix bugs.
• Keep the service running smoothly and securely.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your floor plans for advertising.

4. Cookies and sessions

When you sign in, we set a secure, httpOnly session cookie so you stay logged in. The cookie contains a random token — not your password. If you use Google sign-in, Google may also set its own cookies during the login flow.

You can clear cookies in your browser settings, which will sign you out.

5. Where your data is stored

Your account and project data are stored in a database hosted with our cloud provider (currently Railway). Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Backups and infrastructure may be located in regions chosen by our hosting provider.

6. Third parties we work with

We share limited data with trusted services that help us operate:

• Paddle — processes payments, handles tax where required, and acts as merchant of record for paid plans. Paddle receives billing and checkout information you provide to them. See Paddle’s privacy policy.
• Google — if you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google handles authentication under their own privacy terms.
• Hosting provider — stores our application and database.

We require these providers to handle data only for the services they perform for us, subject to their own policies and applicable law.

7. How long we keep data

• Account and project data are kept while your account is active.
• If you delete projects or close your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or billing reasons.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS, hashed passwords, httpOnly session cookies, and access controls on our database. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate account information (you can update your name in the account page).
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Export your floor plan projects before deleting your account.

10. Children

FloorPlan Creator is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. International users

If you use the service from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate. By using the service, you understand that your data may cross borders with appropriate safeguards where required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Significant changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
